'Bottlebrush Banquet'
White-cheeked Honeyeater - Phylidonyris niger
In early spring the bottlebrush outside my widow starts to bloom attracting all the usual local nectar eaters and I have been lucky enough to see a few visiting White-cheeked Honeyeaters. They are delicate fancy little birds that dart around the bottlebrush foliage, often getting chased off by more aggressive honeyeaters. I was able to get some great reference shots of one particular bird with its beak and face covered with pollen after a good feed.
Giclée print reproduction on archival Hahnemuehle Photo Rag, 308gsm weight, 100% cotton, Matt surface.
Print size identical to the original artwork, oil on stretched canvas, which measured 25.4 x 30.5cm (10 × 12in).
The Giclée print comes with the option of an additional 4cm white border to measure a full 33.4 x 38.5cm (13.14 x 15.15in).
