'Spinebill Stretch'
Eastern Spinebill - Acanthorhynchus tenuirostris
In early spring the Bottlebrush outside my widow starts to bloom attracting all the usual local nectar eaters, but on rare occasions I caught a glimpse of the quick Eastern Spinebill. Usually, they’re too quick for my camera skills and darting around the foliage, getting chased off by the other honeyeaters. I was lucky enough to capture some great references, outstretched with that long curved beak to get into the far away last flower.
Giclée print reproduction on archival Hahnemuehle Photo Rag, 308gsm weight, 100% cotton, Matt surface.
Print size identical to the original artwork, oil on stretched canvas, which measured 40.6 x 30.5cm (16 x 12in).
The Giclée print comes with the option of an additional 4cm white border to measure a full 48.6cm x 38.5 (15.15 x 19.13in).
